Headache

I went to bed with a headache last night and I woke of with one this morning. And it seems to be getting worse.

I have read on a couple of other people's blogs and a few others have mentioned headaches.

Is this common in the beginning of slow carbing? Is it an indication of a deficiency? Are there any remedies?

I know this: I can't live with a constant headache. Tylenol is only marginally effective and I have kids to take care of, a business to work on and a home to run.

What's your experience with headaches and 4HB?

  2. It was one of two things: caffeine withdrawal from not drinking up to 2L of diet pepsi a day or sugar withdrawal from not eating any sugar and very low carbs. I had a pretty big sugar addiction that seemed to snowball in the last couple of years.

    If it helps, it took me about 3 days to get through the headaches. I was pretty laid out by them, too. I was barely functioning that week!

    I hope you get over yours soon.

    Just to rule out other common headache inducers: drink a couple litres of water, minimum and get used to doing that every day and make sure you are getting lots of calories in - eat more saturated fats and more food in general. It's really common for people to drink too little water and eat as if they are on a conventional diet with it's super lean breast meats and no butter, etc :)
